Born in New York and raised by two loving parents who encouraged entrepreneurship and strong work ethics. Nancy’s family has been involved in one way or another in different avenues of engineering and crafts. Nancy learned to crochet from her grandmother when she was 13 years old. Her mom used to sew their school clothes when she was in elementary school, that’s where she learned how to sew. Her dad worked for an engineering company. He used to help Nancy with science projects. That is why she pursued an AA from Miami-Dade College in Architecture and her bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University in Construction Engineering Technology.
Nancy started Little Treasures in 2006. But before that she was making handmade gifts for family and friends for several years. Nancy loves the joy and purpose that the crafts that she makes bring to friends, family, and customers’ faces. Her family and loved ones gave her the passion to follow her dreams in the crafting world.
Married with one child, she tries to instill hope; love; and the lessons learned to enrich and inspire others that are around her while taking in the amazing life experiences that come her way. Nancy is grateful that her dreams are becoming reality due to a large part of the support and love from all those around her.
