Row 1 – 2sc in second ch, ch 1, turn (2)

Row 2 – 2sc in the next 2 st, ch 1, turn (4)

Row 3 – Sc across (4)

Row 4 –(inc, sc)(2x) ch 1, turn (6)

Row 5 – sc across (6)

Row 6 – (inc, 2 sc)(2x), ch 1, turn (8)

Row 7 – sc across, ch 1, turn (8)

Row 8 – (inc, 3 sc)(2x), ch 1, turn (10)

Row 9 – sc across (10)

Row 10 – (inc, 4 sc)(2x), ch 1, turn (12)

Row 11 – sc across (12)

Row 12 – (inc, 5 sc)(2x), ch 1, turn (14)

Row 13 – sc across (14). FO leave long tail to sew up the side

Fold the triangle in half the long side and whip stitch it closed.

This is what the triangle will look like at the end of tow 13

 After you sew the side up, your spike should look like this. It’s approximately 3 ½” tall
